Ax Consultants is led by Rachael Freeland

Trained in Psychology, Ms Freeland completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Psychology) (Hons) in 2001 at Deakin University, combining a double major in psychology and physiological sciences, including neuroanatomy. After completing a research thesis in the area of drug and alcohol treatment, she went on to become a specialist clinician in the drug and alcohol treatment sector. Her areas of expertise include assessment, education, consulting and counselling for clients with a drug and alcohol issue and acquired brain injury.

All our Clinicians are trained either in Psychiatry or Psychology with a diverse range of specialist training including; Neuropsychology, Clinical Psychology, Forensic Psychology and Psychiatry.  Our Counselling Psychologist's collective areas of expertise encompass Drug and Alcohol Issues, Mental Health Issues (including anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress disorder and other mood disorders, schizophrenia, attention deficit hyperactivity and personality disorders), Relationship Difficulties and Issues of Conflict, Issues of/with Violence. 

We offer services with bilingual professionals, including Vietnames, Cantonese, Italian and Greek to overcome the language and cross cultural challenges associated with interpreting services.

All psychological practices are informed by the latest evidence-based practices (including but not limited to Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Psychoeducation) and our service adheres to the Australian Psychological Society's Code of Ethics.
